1. Applicability

  1. These general terms and conditions apply to anyone who participates in a trial class, single class, training session or other activity of Ground Fighting Academy (hereinafter: “GFA”), or signs up for a membership with GFA.
  2. By participating in an activity of GFA or signing up for a membership, the participant agrees to these general terms and conditions and the applicable house rules.
  3. For participants under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the registration and agree to these general terms and conditions. 

2. Participation in Training

  1. The participant declares that they do not have any medical conditions and do not use any medication that could have such an influence that it may create a health risk when participating in the training.
  2. The participant is required to inform GFA and/or the trainer prior to participation about any physical complaints, injuries or other circumstances that may affect safe participation in the training.
  3. During training, participants are expected to follow the instructions given by trainers.

3. Memberships

  1. By signing up for a membership, the participant enters into an agreement with Ground Fighting Academy and undertakes to pay the membership fees associated with the membership. 
  2. A membership can be cancelled with one month's notice.
  3. A membership can be cancelled by sending an email to info@gfajiujitsu.nl or through the GFA account. GFA-account.
  4. A membership remains active until the cancellation has been received by GFA and the notice period has expired.
  5. Not participating in training, either temporarily or otherwise, does not entitle the participant to a reduction, suspension, refund or waiver of the membership fees.

4. Payment

  1. Membership fees are collected monthly by direct debit.
  2. If a payment is not made, is only partially made or is not made on time, the outstanding amount remains due and payable.
  3. A reversed, refunded or failed payment does not terminate the membership and does not release the participant from their payment obligation.
  4. Any costs arising from a failed payment, reversed payment or payment arrears may be charged to the participant.

5. Photos and Video Recordings

  1. Photos and video recordings may be taken during training sessions and other activities of GFA and may be used for promotional and communication purposes of GFA.
  2. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or filmed can inform GFA of this. GFA will take this into account.

6. Liability

  1. Participation in training sessions and other activities of GFA is at the participant's own risk.
  2. GFA and its trainers are not liable for damage arising as a result of participation in training sessions or other activities of GFA, including physical injury, consequential loss, loss of or damage to personal belongings and theft. 

7. Amendments

  1. GFA may amend these general terms and conditions. Any amended general terms and conditions will be communicated to participants.
